Understand Your Insomnia and How to Treat It

We use the latest technology and testing to diagnose your sleep disorder. To help detemine why you can’t sleep we may perform or refer you for:

  • Home Sleep Apnea Test: You wear equipment at night to determine how you breathe when you sleep.

  • Sleep Study: More involved test that records your brain waves, heartbeats, and breathing as you sleep.

  • Actigraphy: A small wearable device (like a wristwatch) that measures your movements while asleep and awake.

  • Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT): A test to determined how alert you are during the day by seeing how long you stay awake in a dark, quiet room.

  • Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT): Checks for excessive daytime sleepiness by measuring how long it takes to asleep in a quiet environment during the day.

  • CPAP Titration Study: Overnight sleep study that helps to properly set your CPAP machine.
